1) The Bible is the divinely inspired and inerrant Word of God. It reveals the mind and will of God to mankind; it shows the way of salvation and gives practical instruction concerning Christian life for the individual, family, and church. (2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:20-21)
2) There is one God, the Creator of all, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. (Matt. 28:19; 2 Corinthians 13:14)
3) The Lord Jesus Christ is fully God, born of a virgin, and has a uniquely perfect and sinless humanity. (John 1:1; Philippians 2:6, Matt. 1:18-25; 1 John 3:5)
4) Each member of the human race is born in a sinful and lost condition. This renders him unable to please God and helpless to save himself from eternal punishment and judgment to come. (Rom. 3:23; Eph. 2:8-9, Rev. 20:11-15)
5) Christ fully and forever paid for the penalty of our sin by dying on the cross at Calvary, and God has raised Him from the dead. (1 Cor. 15:17-20; Rom. 4:25)
6) By accepting Christ, through faith, the sinner is saved, born again, and his sins are all forgiven through the merit of Christ’s death. (Acts 16:31; John 1:12; Col. 1:14)
7) Every true believer possesses eternal life and is indwelt and sealed by the Holy Spirit. The church began with the descent of the Holy Spirit at Pentecost, and the church is composed of all true believers in Christ. (1 Cor. 12:12-14; Acts 2:14; Col. 1:18)
8) All who die in Christ go to be with Him in heaven but all who die unsaved go down to Hell and conscious, eternal torment. (2 Cor. 5:6-8, Phil. 1:23; Psalm 9:17, Luke 16:23)
9) The local church is a group of believers who assemble together for the teaching of God’s word, keeping the Lord’s Supper (communion), fellowship, and prayer. (Acts 2:42)
10) The Lord Jesus Christ may come at any time to take up (rapture) the living saints (believers), raise the dead in Christ, and to later establish his kingdom on earth. (John 14:3, 1 Cor. 15:51-54, 1 Thess. 4:13-18; Rev. 20:14)
11) There are two ordinances left by the Lord Jesus Christ for believers to observe: baptism and the Lord’s Supper. Baptism by immersion signifies that the believer, having died with Christ, is buried with him in baptism and is also risen with Christ to walk in newness of life. (Matt. 28:19; Acts 8:38; Roman. 6:3-4) The Lord’s Supper is a time to remember the person, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. It is for all true believers. (Luke 22:19-20, Acts 20:7; 1 Cor. 11: 23-26)
